I have lived in the Corpus Christi area for over 40 years. I started Miss K’s back in 2007–started out in a 400 sq. ft. space and now in the current location of 1300 sq. feet. I started cooking when I was 10 years old, helping and learning the ins and outs of the kitchen and entertaining from my mother. I would call myself more of a self –taught home cook, as I have had no official training. I am married to a wonderful husband of 25 years, and I have a son who is recently engaged, so now I have gained a daughter-in-law. After Hurricane Harvey I was among 5 other women- owned businesses in the surrounding area for a grant from the Les Dam d’Escoffier International for rebuilding Miss K’s Kitchen and Catering.
